Price the fee against your payment plan.
Compare keeping the balance with transferring it, using the same reliable monthly payment and comparison horizon. Enter your actual written terms; there are no preset market offers.
A monthly approximation, not a statement prediction or personal recommendation. No account, tracking or upload. Inputs disappear on reload. A lower modelled cost does not confirm eligibility, a sufficient limit or an affordable payment.
Method and limits
Method 2026-10-10.1: each month, interest equals the opening balance × the entered annual rate ÷ 12, rounded half-up to a penny. Subtract the entered payment, capped at the amount owed. The transfer starts with the balance plus its rounded fee; the promotional rate applies for the entered months, then the post-promotion rate.
Compare payments made plus balance still owed at the same horizon. This includes unpaid principal without implying it has been repaid. If debt remains, the result is not a complete lifetime cost. No instalment term-payment formula is used. Negative amortisation remains visible rather than stopping the schedule on the first insufficient payment.
Assumes an eligible whole balance, fee charged upfront to that balance at the same rate, equal months, payment after interest and no spending. Actual daily interest, minimum payments, fee allocation, offer expiry and lost promotions can differ. Use the stated interest rate; entering an APR that includes other charges is only a proxy. Do not include the same fee twice.
Check transfer eligibility, limit, timing, purchase treatment and contractual minimums. If your reliable budget cannot meet required payments, ask the provider or an appropriate debt-advice service for support before taking new credit.
