About Credit Over Debt
Credit clarity without the sales pitch.
Credit Over Debt is an independent editorial and product project for people whose real financial life is more nuanced than a score. We explain documents, show primary sources, and build narrow tools that help with the next check.
Our premise
Your income, cash flow, obligations, and documentation are real even when a credit file explains them poorly. A score can summarize part of a file; it cannot explain every decision or choose the right next action for you.
We start with the document in front of you: an offer, adverse-action notice, or card statement.
What we publish
Source-led field guides translate disclosure language and consumer-credit rules into precise questions. Companion tools let you model the numbers or organize the reasons without uploading manual entries.
We do not rank lenders, promise approval, sell credit repair, or present deterministic arithmetic as artificial intelligence.
Why access is open
Reading and one-off calculations do not require an account. Asking for identity data before delivering value would work against the trust we are trying to earn.
If accounts are introduced, they will be optional and limited to durable features such as saved plans, reminders, and private document history.
Authorship
Launch articles use the organizational byline “Credit Over Debt Editorial Desk.” Each page shows its publication date, review date, sources, scope, and limitations. Named contributor profiles will be added when individual authors begin publishing.
